An inherent curiosity and drive to master complex subjects guided me in completing my degree in philosophy and Russian studies at the University of Chicago. Now, I'd like to share my passion for education with young students and budding scholars. While I studied philosophy and Russian, my interests are broad and varied. Having grown up in Dallas, I've lived in Chicago for just over five years. I'm an avid baker, enjoyer of comedy and total dog lover.

What is your teaching philosophy?
I understand that not every student is enthusiastic about their education. But, I do believe that every student, if taught with a highly individualized approach and nurturing, can begin to love learning. I believe that dividing lessons incrementally helps students look at their goals realistically. Otherwise, learning can be something daunting, and students will feel overwhelmed. This also allows students to see how much they're progressing and feel pride in their work. Most importantly, I believe that compassion, patience, and humor are the best teaching aids in my back pocket.
