Certified Tutor

I am a math teacher from Atlanta, GA. I love to read books, watch t.v. and exercise during my spare time. I also enjoy traveling and spending quality time with my family and friends. When I am not coaching, I like to find an activity that allows me to enjoy the great outdoors; for example, hiking, biking, or going to a lake/ beach. I attended Syracuse University, where I received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. I am currently studying to take the GRE so that I can attend graduate school in Fall 2018 for Educational Psychology. Throughout high school and college, I tutored many of my peers in math classes to help them excel in classes that I had already been successful in myself. I am currently an eleventh grade algebra II at a high school in Atlanta, GA. Prior to my teaching, I taught 5th grade math at a middle school in Newark, NJ. My favorite subject to tutor is math because I have a love for the discipline and to sharing that love with my students that I teach and tutor. I enjoy see the smile on my students face when they conceptual understand their course work, rather than just knowing what to do to pass their exams. I teach my students the reasoning behind the material so that they know why their are doing it. This helps students to be able to take the material that they have learned within that lesson and apply it to future material.
