Certified Tutor

After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Ball State University. I served in the Air Force and traveled extensively with assignments throughout the United States, Europe and Korea. I was an instructor in many of those assignments and have taught school and coached sports in Texas and Connecticut. I currently hold teaching certification in Connecticut and have taught at both Middle School and High School levels. Additionally, I managed a Sylvan Learning Center for two years tutoring students K-12. I have tutored privately for more than twenty years in a broad range of subjects. I enjoy math, science and history the most. I believe education is an ongoing process in and out of school and formal settings - for all ages. I enjoy working with students and seeing them have that "light bulb moment" when suddenly they understand something new. In my free time I pursue my interests in photography, skiing, biking and traveling.
