My teaching philosophy consists of trust, communication and empowerment. It is important that a good rapport be established between student and teacher. The student must not only respect the teacher, but to some degree like him or her. If there is good communication between student and teacher and the student finds their teacher to be pleasant, easy-going with a good sense of humor, then the learning process will be greatly facilitated. I believe that a curious student is more apt to learn than a student who isn't. I make every effort to maximize the curiosity of the student. Finally, the student should be empowered with continual praise and encouragement.
