Certified Tutor

I am an educator of 14 years and an artist of over 20. I obtained my undergraduate degree from Kentucky State University, a B.A. in Studio Arts. From there, I continued on to get my Child Development Associate through a partnership with OVEC and the University of Louisville. At the same time, I began my graduate studies at the University of the Cumberlands. Through the University of the Cumberlands, I obtained a Masters in Teaching P-12. I continued at University of the Cumberlands for a PhD in Leadership concentrating in Education. I am at the dissertation stage and will graduate in Summer of 2023. A brief background into my teaching history: I started my teaching career in high school when I was hired on as a Teacher Aid working with the after school care class at a church. When I moved from Alabama to Kentucky for school, I got a job at Aramark providing meals for college students and the meal plans for the children in daycare. Since graduating from undergrad, I have worked at 9 different schools between Alabama and Kentucky and tutored many students. I enjoy working with children and helping them to achieve their goals. Some of my important skills include reading, writing, and speaking in German, ancient Greek, and Latin. In my spare time, I love to draw and paint, read, take nature walks and spend time with my family.
