Certified Tutor
I received my University education in the State of California, and graduated with Honors in my Bachelors degree in Creative Writing. Presently, I am working towards my Masters in Instructional Technology Education. I like to improve to help all my students, and to polish my skills. My teaching experience was as a Teacher in the State of California K-12. My many years of tutoring experience started under the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Presidential project. My favorite subjects to tutor are social studies, history, reading/writing, and simple Pre-Algebraic math. I enjoy tutoring subjects like social studies, and other similar ones because it requires you to THINK! Even if students are STEM-oriented, engineers and science majors must have a good basic skill set on writing reports, and written expression. My teaching philosophy is that there should be some fun in it, and I want my students to "takeaway" something of what was learned, or encouraged, for them to use everyday and in their future. Teaching is my natural joy, and I myself love to learn. Reading and writing go together, no matter what subjects a person wants to specialize in. Reading and writing matters. They are the "glue" of understanding.
Outside of academia I really love dophins. I think they are incredible. I like the ocean, and love swimming. Hiking is really great, and my favorite are the baby elephants in Kenya being saved from poachers. I love to keep up with the baby elephants' progress! I also like to travel, and do research. And, I love poetry, too!
