I have my PhD in humanities from New York University, after receiving a masters degree in theatre at UCLA and a BA in English from Wesleyan University. I have taught in some capacity for my entire adult life: as a college humanities professor, as an ELA, AP English and drama teacher, and an IB Theatre and TOK educator. I tutor in all of those subjects and anything in the humanities and also in test prep for the SSAT, SAT, and AP English. I am the daughter of an immigrant, so I hold a special place in my teaching heart for students for whom English is a second language. I am known for making my students laugh and generally feel comfortable while they learn with me. I am the proud mom of two young adults and love to to walk by the nearby river, cook, and re-read my favorite books.
