Certified Tutor

I am an Arizona State University alum with Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Biology, with the goal of pursuing higher degrees in Paleontology. I tutor a variety of subjects within these fields, including Genetics, Ecology, Geology, and AP Environmental Science. From early high school through my senior year in college, my classmates often turned to me for assistance with understanding the class material. I try to pinpoint the earliest or most basic point in a topic which is causing confusion, as grasping these points often leads to my peer or student being able to figure out later points on their own. I also strive to explain concepts in ways the student hasn't heard before, as simply repeating a lesson which confused them seems unlikely to be helpful. Outside of tutoring scientific topics, I enjoy creative and artistic hobbies like singing, sketching, and playing video games.
