Certified Tutor

I received my Elementary Education degree from Western Governors University. I am a certified teacher in the state of Ohio for PK through 5th grade. I received my Reading Endorsement from Bowling Green University. I am also licensed to teach Reading Pk- 12th grade. I home schooled my own children K-5th grade, student taught 2nd grade, preschool for 3-5 year olds and was a Title I Teacher Online. I tutor all elementary subjects, Math, reading, writing, English, phonics, study skills and organization. I enjoy teaching Math because there are so many different ways to make math fun and hands on. I also enjoy teaching Reading because it is a powerful tool, asset and hobby that brings such rich experiences to children's lives. I love running and lifting weights. I have been doing so for over 25 years. I also enjoy cooking, working outside and just being silly with my kids. What I love about teaching the most is learning the strengths of my students in order to equip them with tools to succeed in learning. My teaching style is that from a positive, strengths base approach.
