Certified Tutor

I received my education at Emory University where I obtained a BA in Biology with a minor in English. I prefer to tutor biology, more specifically IB/ AP Biology or High School Biology, but I am also able to tutor test prep for college Biology as well as the ACT. I have tutored students for the IB exam and high school regents before.

I am a visual learning so I like teaching with diagrams and mnemonic device but I best suit my lessons to the student's needs because every student is different in how they comprehend information.

Outside the classroom I enjoy to run, travel and watch sports. I am a big sports fan who follows everything from track to professional soccer. I am a big Yankees fan so I spend my free time following up on key trades and the fundamentals in baseball.

Like baseball, biology is all about following the data. Biology is about application because it all relates to each other. Through tutoring I will help students understand how key concepts are connected. Biology is not a subject of rote memorization, it is a subject of application.
