I'm currently a biomedical engineering major at Johns Hopkins University with a specialized interest in medical devices. My experiences doing various internships in graduate-school levels in the past has made me realize that I love to meet new people and work alongside and help others, which led me to online tutoring!
I have previous one-on-one peer tutoring experience in high school. Furthermore, I have worked as an online English tutor on Ringle, where I helped non-native English speakers with conversational and professional English. My approach to tutoring tends to be calm and informational, making sure the student develops a strong foundation on the fundamental concepts. I am able to break down complex concepts into simple steps.
I have taken advanced-level math such as Graph Theory and Multivariable Calculus, which has helped me have a stronger grasp on mathematical concepts frequently found in standardized testing. Furthermore, I have previous experience tutoring math (Algebra II to Multivariable Calculus) and have taken the PSAT, SAT, and SAT II Math as well.
I have taken AP Physics 1, Physics C Mechanics, and Physics C E&M exams and courses and found the subjects fascinating. Furthermore, I have also taken the SAT II subject test in physics. I have tutored students on various levels of physics before, helping them understand the formulas and when to use them.
As English is my non-native language, I have a firsthand experience learning the mechanics of the language. Self-studying sentence structure, grammar, and vocabulary has helped me gain strong skills in critical reading and writing. Furthermore, I have tutored English to countless of students online as a Ringle tutor.
Having attended a preparatory high school, I have taken the SSAT in the past as well. This experience, bolstered with preparing for the PSAT and SAT, allows me to have a deep understanding of the ins and outs of the SSAT problems.
