I am passionate about education and expanding educational opportunities for all students. It was this passion that led me to become a 10th Grade English teacher for two years in a public school in Miami-Dade. I worked on both writing and reading with my students.

Prior to that, I have experience working as an English tutor throughout college for a range of ages. I received my bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Manchester and shortly after completed a master's degree in Gender Studies and Law at SOAS, University of London. My professional experiences have taken me to the UN and other policy focused organizations. I have a lot of experience working on a diverse range of research topics.

Hobbies

Outside of work, you can find me reading a great book or playing around with different types of writing. I am a bit of a poetry nerd, and I have written a lot of my own work. I love being active and make sure to get in at least one long walk a day or sometimes a trip to the gym.
