Certified Tutor

I am a magna cum laude graduate of Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Science degree in ceramic engineering. After earning my B.S., I attended graduate school at the University of Virginia, before learning I was more interested in opportunities outside of school. Since then I have spent 2 years as a scientist in the Pharmaceutical industry. My areas of expertise are (and are not limited to) mathematics and sciences.
While working on my degree, I often tutored my classmates and graded papers for several semesters. One of my greatest joys of that time was when I was privileged to give material science demonstrations to K-12 students. It was always fun to discuss a side of chemistry and physics that is new and fresh for many students. I have taken the ACT for college, the GRE for graduate school, and the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. After a large amount of schooling and taking tests such as those, I have found school is like completing a series of small puzzles in the form of practice problems.
I look forward to making this fun and rewarding for you! My goal and rationale for tutoring are to promote confidence and patience in a supportive environment, as these are the keys to successful learning.
