Certified Tutor

I have a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University. I also received my Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. I am now completing my Master's in Biblical Counseling that focuses on standard, widely accepted counseling models that also incorporate Christian teachings. I worked for the last 22 years as the Director of School-Community Partnerships for the school district in Las Vegas. I also teach graduate students who are pursuing their Master's of Business Administration, as well as reading and writing to adult learners who wish to earn their high school diploma. I am a certified teacher licensed in the state of Nevada. It is my belief that education is the vehicle in which individuals receive vital skills, knowledge, and tools that are necessary to build a successful life. I believe that all students can learn with proper supports and that they should be encouraged to critically think and solve problems similar to those that exist in the real world. Learning in this manner will allow them to develop the versatility to solve problems in preparation for adulthood. As instructors, it is our responsibility to ensure that learning occurs in an open, collaborative, and supportive environment so that students can grow and foster positive relationships with others to build a solid, learning community. In my free time, I like to read, hike, go to the theater or movies, and travel with my family.
