Hi! I'm Dr. Alison Johnson (Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). I have a lifelong passion for learning and teaching.

I have taught many different topics in my professional field for the past 12 years, including Clinical Counseling / Psychology, Differential Diagnosis, etc.

I have tutored and been a teaching assistant to Master's level students in my field to achieve outstanding scores in their courses and on their board examinations. I have done this through understanding the student's learning style, and applying various techniques to help the student understand both the macro and micro view of the subject material. In turn, they succeed in both passing classes but also understand and retain the information learned.

I also have experience tutoring children and young adults. I love helping each student I assist begin to love learning again, even if the topic isn't something they're passionate about. I enjoy working with different learning styles to customize the tutoring experience to be enjoyable as well as productive.

Hobbies

My interests and hobbies include: reading medical research, listening to podcasts about health, and creating continuing education courses in the field of healthcare. I also have a passion for writing (poetry, articles, etc.) and am an excellent editor for content and comprehension as well as spelling and grammar.
