Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Florida State University. I received my Bachelor of Sciences in English Education at the secondary level. I am a recent graduate and am perusing my third degree this coming fall for English Education MS. My passion lies in the art of the English language and teaching English as a second language. While I tutor a broad range of levels, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and Writing. I have spent the last five years falling in love with tutoring and observing students grow in their educational journey through various experiences such as internships, observations, and part-time after-school jobs. I believe that there is high importance on education and the power of words. As a Spanish speaker myself, I understand the struggles of learning English and adapting to a new language. When I first moved to this country, from the Dominican Republic, I never imagined myself falling so deeply in love with such an art. I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. As a future teacher now, I am devoted to helping all students put their thoughts on paper and express themselves to their best ability. In my spare time, I enjoy watching old films, reading, going to the gym, and trying new restaurants.
