I am a graduate of University of Michigan - Dearborn. My parents instilled a passion for learning in me as a young child. I am very grateful for that and I have a desire to pass that on to the students that I tutor. It is important to have a strong foundation of core subjects at an early age, which is why I focus on building reading and math skills with elementary and middle school students. Every child is unique and my goal is to make learning fun and interesting for them. Study skills and organization are also something I focus on. I currently teach adult women organizational skills, and have seen how much it has improved their self-esteem and ability to function more efficiently in their lives. That is a skill that I believe is very beneficial for children to learn at an early age. I'm a strong believer in building on small habits and creating routines to achieve goals. One of my favorite quotes is from Aristotle. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit."
