Certified Tutor
I am a current undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University, double majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics and Statistics. I have tutored students from grades 3-8 in Math and English, focusing on grasping new concepts through working through practice problems. Since I have taken the SAT and various AP tests within the past 5 years, I have recent applicable experience to share to help students succeed on these exams. I mainly tutor math and computer science, with focus on SAT Math, Algebra, Calculus, Python, and C++.
I love helping students learn and seeing their eyes light up as they grasp new concepts. I enjoy using visual or real life examples to explain new concepts, especially for younger students. I believe doing practice problems is one of the most effective ways to learn as it allows students to figure out exactly which aspects of new concepts they might be struggling with so I can best help them.
In addition to being a college student, I also enjoy baking, cooking, playing volleyball, and running. I also love trying out new activities like crocheting.
