I have been teaching for 20+ years in the 3-6 grade classroom. I have a BA in Elementary Education and a MA in Educational Technology. Over the years I have built a massive toolbox of strategies for teaching elementary reading, writing, and math. I am at my best while teaching literacy groups, phonics, fluency, comprehension, critical thinking, and problem-solving. My toolbox is also full of math strategies and teaching concepts. I am passionate about teaching, and it shows in my lessons and learning opportunities with children. I am a hands-on, fun, energized teacher that brings humor to the objective. As an educator, I hope to motivate my learners to ascertain their inner strengths and abilities and discover what truly inspires them. I am to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages learners to trust their own opinions while fostering confidence in order for them to realize their full potential.

Through my teaching experience for over 20 years, I have found the method of facilitating rather than dictating as a highly beneficial type of teaching. I am married with 3 children, and one of my exciting hobbies is military-scale model building.
I am an educator by heart and by profession.
