Have you ever tried to teach a child a task as simple as scrambling an egg? You probably figured out that there are many different skills to master: cracking the egg, beating the egg, heating the pan, using the spatula to stir the eggs. plating the food. And each step must be taught and mastered before a delicious breakfast is made. Similarly, you can break academic topics into smaller parts for learning, and then build them up into a bigger picture. I have 25 years of full time teaching and tutoring Biology at Estrella Mountain Community College.

My role as an instructor is to make topics understandable to students, and help them learn how to recall and apply that material for success in their classes, exams, and professional career.

My areas of expertise are anatomy and physiology and general biology.
