I earned my Bachelor's degree in English from University of Colorado and my Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law. I practiced law for thirteen years before becoming a college professor at Baker University. While both careers are rewarding, I love teaching! I find students enjoy and understand subjects best when they are actively involved in the learning. I like to break concepts into smaller pieces, offer relatable examples, and encourage students to explore the material. For me, nothing is more rewarding than seeing a student's "I get it!" light bulb flash on!
