Certified Tutor

Education is one of the most powerful entities in our world. Not only should one pursue to learn more from academics, but also from cultures as well. Learning from one's interactions with others teaches us about the individual, society, and about ourselves. From my tutoring experience, I have learned that resilience and patience is key, both for the tutor and the tutored. Everyone learns differently and at a different pace; it lays in being creative and persistent when the student is discouraged. Everyone encounters a struggle at many points in their lives: education, career, family, etc. However, it is in the process of learning to overcome struggles that we find personal growth.

Aside from aiding the younger generation strive for a better future, I believe that the best lesson that I can offer is to motivate students to one day contribute to society whether it is helping them research career goals or enlighten them about local or global issues for possible community service, etc. An individual alone cannot overcome the struggles that one is presented with; it is the interdependency amongst family members, friends, or strangers that helps us mitigate problems. Compassion and a helping hand is a character that I continue to value and largely shapes my career goals in attaining a Masters in Public Health.
