I am a graduate of The Ohio State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Economics, deciding to leave two classes short of a double major in Public Policy Analysis because the economy has been so strong in the past couple of years.

I learned an enormous amount in my classes in college, some particular favorites being Public Policy Analysis, Business Law, Time Series Econometrics, Labor Economics, Sports Analytics, Economic History of the Americas, and Statistics.

But I learned even more in my extracurricular pursuits, such as learning how to code in programming languages like SQL, R(studio), and Python initially during my Public Sector Data Science Internship. Some other valuable skills I gained from this experience were using ArcGIS for mapping data, Tableau for Business Intelligence and Visualization, and research methodologies and processes. I also co-founded the Undergraduate Economics Research Journal and Sports Analytics Association and was on the Executive Board of the Behaviroal Economics Club, Unergraduate Economics Society, and Active Minds (Mental Health Awareness). These experiences taught me a great deal about writing, editing, and continued to develop my leadership and Data Analytics skills.

A few more interesting activities that taught me a lot were working on a Food and Mobility student volunteer led project with Public Sector and Private Sector Partners to analyze food banks in Central Ohio, the profile of food bank customers, and how public transit impacted their ability to access food in a reliable manner based off of cell phone data. The analysis was done using advanced SQL and Tableau. Finally, I helped tutor transitive or homeless youth, and assisted them in various activities like GED preparation, Interview preparation, LinkedIn and Resume writing, and how to properly access state and federal resources that were availible to them. They taught me more than I taught them, it was a labor of love.

During my last semester and post graduation, I have started my own Business, Buckeye Tutors, where I am currently a one man operation. I have had multiple clients in MBA programs needing help in data/business analysis and with using tools like R and Tableau, High School Algebra and AP Macroeconomics, and Basic computer training in Excel, Word, and PC basics. While I continue to become more experienced in Tutoring, running a business, and learning how to build websites with Wordpress and soon HTML/CSS/PHP/Jscript, I have joined the Varsity Tutors platform to expand my client base and I do around 7-8 other freelance jobs to supplement my fulltime income as an Operations Project Coordinator for a Multi-National Banking giant, so I can fund my tutoring business and blogs.

Now let's get down to brass tax, if you read all of that (or skipped it) and are still interested in what I can bring to the table, let me tell you the ways in which I can best serve you.

I think tutoring works best for everyone involved when students provide me in advance, with their syllabus, specific areas of weakness in grasping the concepts, their homework/test schedules, etc. That way your time isn't wasted by me trying to figure out exactly what kinds of problems you are doing and where you are at in in terms of understanding and specifically the learning unit your class is on. This way, I also get the chance to go over and review some of my favorite topics at my leisure off the clock. By doing this, I can provide you with clear and concrete examples as necessary, be able to nudge you past points you may be stuck with insightful hints, and teach you the material via your preferred method, so that it sticks in your head during crunch time (exam week).

I take pride in everything I do, and I put your learning and comprehension before most other aspects of my daily routine. It helps that I am a firm believer in being a lifelong learner so learning or refreshing my knowledge is a passion of mine, not a burden. Customer satisfaction and the achievement or exceeding of whatever goals you have set for this venture is my top priority. I am very flexible in terms of both my schedule and adapting to your preferences. I have a natural ability to motivate people with subjects, whether they enjoy them already or not. I can be funny and serious, flexible with my time as long as you keep the commitments on your end, and find out how to get you connected to the material with deep learning instead of just rote memorization.

I tutor an exceedingly large list of subjects but I would say my favorites are Economics (or any of its sub-fields), statistics, programming or computer software, history (American or European), philosophy, and anything related to government or public policy.

I hope this was insightful and it would be my pleasure to serve you on your educational journey whether you are in high school, undergrad, or graduate school, I think I can be an excellent resource. Please feel free to contact me via phone, email, or the varsity tutor platform (preference as I like the transparency) if you have any further questions.

Good luck, and God speed. I'll be working hard in the meantime and I'll see you at our session soon.
