I am a health and behavior researcher and educator. I love teaching, public health, and psychology! I have taught many subjects including statistics and epidemiology to students of all backgrounds. I love helping people, and meeting them where they are in terms of knowledge, understanding, and comfort. Each person has strengths, and they can be applied to almost any subject. The challenge for tutors is to help connect each students' strengths with the subject matter.

I pay close attention to your learning characteristics: -Do you like to follow a set of direct instructions to get the result? Or -You like to find a quickest way to solve the problem on your own, or -You like to understand the material on a deeper level to feel more confident? -Do you feel comfortable handling math formulas and equations?...

...can tutor very effectively across a variety of math, computer science, and statistics subjects, but am most passionate and have the most 1-on-1 experience in probability and statistics and test prep. I believe that anyone with a good amount of motivation can learn what they desire to a high level with the correct help, and I find the experience of providing that help very rewarding and actively seek opportunities to do so.

I graduated from University of Washington with a bachelor degree in math and Columbia University with a master degree in actuarial science. I got an average of 3.8 GPA on all my math classes, so I am able to tutor in any level of calculus courses or high school mathematics. I have passed 5 actuarial exams (P, FM, IFM, STAM and SRM), so I can tutor in any of those exams.
