The student did not have any homework to go over for our session and felt confident in everything up to the point she was at in class so we decided to go over more problems that she will see for her upcoming ACT test she plans to take. We went over mostly geometry problems again and a few linear equations working with graphs.

Today the student and I spent our time working on probability homework once again. As before, the student had a few homework problems to complete, so we moved through them and I helped her along the way. The student didn't have too much trouble with her assignment. I think the student's understanding of probability theory deepened and expanded as a result. This will no doubt help her as she moves forward in her studies.

The student did great reading to me. Then, we went over her spelling words for the week. She wrote down all her spelling words and made sentences out of each word. She drew a picture to go along with the words.

We met for about an hour and reviewed vocabulary. We are going to meet for a little longer next week when the student has more material. There are a few words and phrases she needs to review on her own in order to cement, but I'm very impressed overall with her ability to pick up on the material.

The student finished the essay assignment. She had a great attitude. She wants to learn. We discussed essay strategies and grammar related concepts. The final draft of her essay was a nice improvement from the draft two days prior. Her writing has improved since we started.

The student and I covered L'Hopital's Rule, antiderivatives, and indefinite integrals. Of these topics, L'Hopital's Rule was the most novel. We utilized textbook examples and practice problems to study.
