I am a Midwestern transplant in Boston. I attended the University of Missouri where I obtained a BS in Biological Sciences, a BA in Psychology, and another BA in Sociology as well as a minor in Spanish. I relocated to Boston to enroll at Boston University School of Public Health, where I obtained by Master of Public Health in both Global Health as well as Maternal & Child Health. During my academic years, I tutored in a variety of subjects, including Spanish, Psychology, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and writing. I tutored elementary school students in Reading, Math, and Science. I also spent two years teaching English as a Learning Language to refugees in the Boston area. While my interests are varied, I enjoy tutoring in public health-related topics and writing.

I've tutored/taught Midwestern elementary school students, New England graduate students, West African high schools, and refugees. From these experiences, I've learned to tailor and adapt my tutoring style to meet the needs of the individual students I have a great number of interests and pride myself in being able to make any subject relatable and interesting. Furthermore, I believe in collaboration and having students teach-back, ultimately empowering students in their academic careers.

I'm a big fan of documentaries and international films as well as international foods. I like to explore all that Boston has to offer!
