What is your teaching philosophy?

You don't really learn when someone talks at you. You learn when someone talks with you and guides you through the proper thought process; I try to do this when teaching others.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I help students become independent learners by making sure that they understand not just what they should be doing, but why. That way, they would be able to reason out how to solve a similar problem in the future.
