I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where I was a double major in statistics with an actuarial science concentration and philosophy. I was originally an applied mathematics major, so my background in mathematics is expansive- I've done everything from basic algebra to advanced proof writing. I'm currently studying for actuarial exams, material which is comprised of highly accelerated undergraduate statistics. I also consider myself a skilled writer; I've helped many friends at the collegiate level with writing articulate and concise papers on a wide range of subjects. Outside of academics I enjoy playing guitar, creative writing and a little (admittedly very little to this point) keyboard. I'm extremely patient and I have a good sense of humor. It would be a pleasure to tutor at any age or academic level; my primary goal as a tutor, along with imparting the necessary knowledge, is to communicate the power of the material in a way that makes it genuinely interesting to learn about. I'm excited to get started!
