Learning happens when fun and confidence collide. I have learned this to be true through my interactions with reluctant learners, and my intention with each tutoring session to to incorporate fun, engaging activities to enhance learning, in turn building confidence.

I am a certified teacher for grades K-6, and certified Reading Specialist for grades K-12. Through my Reading Specialist training I learned how to develop literacy skills ranging from beginning to read with concepts of phonemic awareness to reading comprehension in content area subjects.

My goal is to use my skill set to deliver tutoring for struggling students to help them reach their full potential in school and beyond.
