Although I was trained as a research scientist, when I had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant my interest changed to teaching. That was a decision I never regretted and taught biology for 22 years after graduation. I love it when the light bulb comes on for a student on topics that they found challenging.

Because we all learn differently I try different ways to help a student learn the content. I like using, videos, learning apps and manipulatives.

In my spare time I dance and garden, sometimes at the same time!
