I graduated with a masters of engineering from MIT. I am currently considering applying for a PhD program in applied mathematics. I started tutoring ever since I was in school, as I enjoyed helping out my friends with academic problems. My tutor journey continued through and after college. I mostly like to tutor mathematics and statistics; especially statistics as I have grown a great appreciation to the insights that could be generated from data. I have recently taken a data science course, and found a passion for building statistical and machine learning models based on data. I believe my tutor experience thus far has shown me that people are unique when it comes to brainstorming and problem-solving. I love to learn how my student structures their thinking and try to guide them with examples that match their thinking style. It is very important to me to understand with my student the purpose as to why we are learning any new material and establish a vision with clear goals and milestones. Outside of academia, I love to play chess and welcome the challenge from anyone
