Learning is what goes on inside one's head and teaching is what goes on outside! In my experience this is true across ages and geography and subject matter. However, the tutor plays a critical role in success with the student. I believe it is the confluence of the relationship between the tutor and the student, the tutor's subject matter knowledge, and the methodology utilized that realizes the outcome.
