I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2005 and Licensed Acupuncturist since 2009. I earned my Associate Degree in Massage Therapy from The Swedish Institute in New York, NY. I continued my studies in Chicago, IL at The Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, where I earned a BS in Nutrition, MS in Oriental Medicine, and completed all Doctorate level coursework in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

I have been a Massage Therapy instructor since 2007 and have taught full curriculum in preparation for the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB) and Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx). I am currently available for MBLEx tutoring and have over a decade of experience working with students in MBLEx preparation.

I love teaching because I had a teacher when I was studying in New York, who took amazingly complex concepts and broke them down to be understandable, interesting, and most importantly, relevant. My goal is to parallel this teaching model.

Hobbies

Apart from Massage and Acupuncture, I love to cook and bake with my family. I also run to keep in shape. I love to read and am learning to play the guitar, ukulele, and the piano. I have a garden where my family grows vegetables and herbs. In my free time I love to play with my 1 year old English Mastiff and work towards training him to be a therapy dog, and try to keep up to date with hockey.
