I'm a recent graduate from Tennessee Tech University where I graduated with a degree in International Business and Cultures as well as a degree in French Language and Culture. As you can probably tell from my fields of study, I am very passionate about communication and the world. I've always loved meeting interesting people and making new friends, so my favorite things to study were all about connecting with people and better understanding the world. While earning my degrees I got the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea at Soon Chun Hyang University and in Montpellier, France at the Institut Linguistique Adenet to solidify my French language skills. My history with tutoring and teaching began with tutoring Korean students in English for 5 months during my study abroad where I also got to be a student teacher in an advanced English class. I enjoyed it so much that I became an undergraduate tutor back at my university in the states where I tutored primarily English, Finance, and Essay Composition as well as any subject that students of my university asked for specifically. English and French were always my favorites since I loved those classes the most as a student. I really enjoy tutoring and teaching because it is so cool to find new ways to help each unique student and see them improve every session. I love helping students who struggle with test taking or essay writing because I love to share the skills I learned while taking the AP tests in high school. Those skills helped me with not only getting into college but also with doing well in my college classes. I enjoy making a connection with my students in order to find the best way to help them improve and learn. I have learned with every experience that I have had so far that it is absolutely true that everyone is unique and thus every student has different ways learning. My tutoring strategy is therefore based on finding the areas that cause the most frustration for the student and then finding the perfect angle for that student to approach their problem based on their current strengths, weaknesses, and interests.
