I have a Master's in chemistry from Vanderbilt where I taught General Chemistry labs and discussion sessions in addition to tutoring outside of classes. I enjoy both one on one, small group, and classroom style teaching, and I focus on making the subject understood at its core concepts instead of simply memorized. Defining and exploring the "why" of theory helps to solidify it more firmly.

In addition to teaching Chemistry, I have a solid background in mathematics (Algebra I, II, Precalculus, and Calculus) that have been built throughout my career.

Making theory more accessible and building critical thinking skills is my main goal, and I strive to make each concept thoroughly understood using a variety of approaches that are unique to the student.
