I am a certified teacher with 14 years of experience teaching Spanish. I have taught Spanish to language learners from pre-school to mature adults. I specialize in laying the foundations of language learning: helping people take their first steps and grow to become proficient and confident in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I started studying Spanish as a 10th grader and went on to finish my BA in Spanish language from Jacksonville University. I also studied at the University of Guanajuato in Mexico. I understand the challenges of being an English speaker, learning Spanish and I can help you overcome any fears that it's not possible or that it's too hard.

I have traveled, studied, and volunteered in Spanish speaking countries in Central America. What I love about traveling is the connections made with people.
The thing I enjoy most about teaching and tutoring Spanish is seeing learners grow in confidence and become totally comfortable understanding the language and the culture. My master's degree is in International Community Development from Southeastern University. This confidence makes connecting with native and non-native Spanish-speakers a pleasure!

I love helping people. In my free time, I volunteer and serve in my community. I also enjoy nature walks and staying healthy.
