I attended the University of Virginia and received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. The following year, I graduated with my Master in Health Science in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I've mentored elementary aged children and fellow college students through my roles as a mentor for College Mentors for Kids and as a Resident Advisor at the University of Virginia. Since graduating, I've enjoyed working as a microbiologist at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention- Infectious Disease Pathology Branch.
