My passion is helping people to achieve their ambitions through education and personal development. I have worked in training for over 10 years having previously sailed the world as a merchant navy deck officer.

My particular areas of interest and expertise are in business (GCSE, A Level) and politics and international relations (GCSE, A Level, and degree level).

I am a postgraduate of the Open University (Applied Linguistics) and a graduate of Kings College, University of Aberdeen (Politics and International Relations). I also hold undergraduate degrees from the Open University in Social Sciences and Modern History and the University of East London (Psychology).

I work as a senior training consultant for a global maritime and defence consultancy. My particular areas of expertise are in history and politics, government, social sciences and business studies.

As a training professional, I find working with learners exciting, as it means I get to meet people of all walks of life, and exchanging experiences.

Outside work, I am a sessional invigilator at Totton College and a volunteer School Governor.

I am open to most things, am not easily offended, and take great pride in helping others to expand their knowledge.
