I am a PhD candidate of sociology from the prestigious Nelson Mandela University South Africa. I received my first degree in Sociology and Anthropology and have master's degrees in Social work, Business Administration and Sociology and a Post graduate Diploma in Social Studies all in Nigeria. I am a member of the Teachers registration Council of Nigeria. I have over 60 research publications in Sociology and other related disciplines in reputable journals some of which are indexed in Scopus. I have attended and presented papers in academic conferences and seminars in the United States, UK, South Africa and Nigeria. I am passionate about my discipline because sociology basically study human social interaction in a group and the society at large and since humans cannot live in isolation, sociology then is imperative to everyone as people relate with one another in their families, schools, institutions, work places and everywhere they find themselves. Besides, sociology tends to provide answers to why social problems occur. Just as we have the laws of motion in science, sociology provides theories that explain human behaviours such as divorce, substance abuse, cultism, addiction and many others and how these problems can be solved. While I am passionate about sociology as a discipline, I major in adolescent health because of its sensitivity and importance to their age and time. I have over five years experience as a tutor and I have been able to impact on my students the necessary values required to cope and adapt to social issues in every area of their lives. I enjoy meeting people, socializing and helping people struggling with social problems.
