Although I have been in the top set for the majority of my secondary school life, I found that most of my accomplishments in my study's came from explaining things to other people and learning things in a fun and different way that made it stick. I like to use colours, songs, mind maps etc whatever makes it stick and makes it easier to learn.

I receive satisfaction from making sure the student actually understands and learns what they need, to get the desired grade and outcome. Therefore, I tend to go out of my way to get questions, solutions, videos, examples to makes sure that the student learns in the most suitable way for them that still gets the wanted result.

How do my sessions go?
The first session will consist of getting to know the student, knowing about their worries, things they want to focus on and their desired goal. Moving forward, I will assist in constructing a study plan around the students life to make sure they consistently up to date with what they need to get done even outside of session hours.

Weekly reports will be formed by doing a small test consisting of a mix of things learnt during the previous sessions and past example questions so they get used to questions that could come up in their exams.

The weekly reports will enable the student to see what they're struggling in and what we can focus our sessions on. It will also help me tailor the session towards the need of the student.

As well as being honest, I believe it is important to keep reminding the student of their potential and what they can achieve to relieve them of that pressure already given to them in a school environment.
