I graduated from Barrett, the Honor's College at Arizona State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Psychology and Biology. Since graduating I have been in medical school and am studying to be a physician. I began tutoring in High School, where I tutored all ages at a tutoring center. Simultaneously, I was also a teaching assistant in a 4th grade English class. These experiences kickstarted my interest in teaching immensely, and I continued to tutor on a collegiate level by working as a teaching assistant for various professors for 3 out of 4 years in my undergraduate institution. I find it utterly fulfilling to work as a tutor; meeting the individual needs of each student to help them better understand the material is a challenge I very much enjoy. Furthermore, like many people in academia, I have also come across material that was initially challenging to conceptualize on my own. When this would happen I would often seek the help of those who did understand, such that we could work together to break down the material into more comprehensible sections. I was always very grateful for these interactions and enjoy being able to teach others as I have been taught in the past.
