I've spent over 40 years in technology. I've been a developer, an Air Force communications officer, a director of software engineering, a VP of engineering, and now a senior lean and agile enterprise coach. I ran for office and was elected to the city council. While running for office, and while being in office, I spoke and presented in public hundreds, if not at least over 1,000, times. I also won awards in college for forensics tournaments (various forms of public speaking). I have two graduate degrees, taught the entire computer science curriculum at the University of Maryland. As an executive in multiple companies and two startup companies I was in charge of, led, and personally did the grunt work for hundreds of robust business analysis cases related to making financial and business related, which included decisions about mergers and acquisitions. I am passionate about helping people understand technology, presenting and speaking in public and to civic groups, and understand how I can help them. Helping people is in my DNA. I've learned a ton, made many mistakes and will happily share everything I learned to help people learn based on my 40 years of diverse work. Lastly, I speak Dutch fluently because I was born and raised in the Netherlands, attended school through high school, and lived there through my teenage years.
