I have been a qualified teacher for sixteen years and have taught for nineteen. My philosophy is everyone learns when they enjoy what they are doing. This is why I foster and create a love of learning in itself, making sure I am part of this process. Tutoring allows me to focus much more on the needs of individual students without the constraints or influences of the school classroom, which is why I enjoy it so much.
My favourite subjects to tutor are maths and English Literature, however I also enjoy Physics.
When I tutor, I enjoy the learning journey, therefore I use a range of questioning skills as well as being flexible enough to take each student on their own journey.
I have a TESL Diploma as well, which I have found incredibly useful, as it has enabled me to support a vast array of different pupils over the years. Outside of teaching, I love following sport, particularly football and my team Luton Town, plus I have travelled to most countries in Europe, although I would very much love to visit many others in the Far East and South America. Finally, I love reading a range of books, although I would say that sci-fi and crime novels are my favourites!
