My overall aim is to show students that they can do the maths they think they can't and that it can be fun! To achieve this I'll help them grow in confidence and enthusiasm. I know I've succeeded when students can't wait to show me their homework and how well they've done.

I can cater for general skills building starting with basic building blocks to provide solid grounding for the higher peaks we will eventually strive for or I can review specific topics if a student is struggling with a particular area.

I make students explain back to me what is going on so that I know they have fully understood our topics rather than simply repeating what they've been shown.
