I am in my eighteenth year as an educator. I was a classroom teacher for eight years in 2nd and 4th grades, before transitioning to the library. Being the school librarian is the BEST JOB EVER because I get to teach English Language Arts standards while also aiding students in grades K-5 in developing their personal love for reading. This is something I feel very passionate about! I have a Masters Degree from Arizona State University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Language and Literacy. While teaching reading and writing is my passion, I have experience in tutoring Spanish and History as well. I also enjoy reading and editing student essays. I read and edited every essay my daughter wrote while she was in high school. If I weren't an educator, I would be a book editor!
