When I started high school, I was presented with a challenge. Gain size and get in shape or face being cut from the football team. I subsequently began tracking everything from the calories I ate to the sleep I got at night and saw the results on the field. Not only did I learn the power of tracking progress in order to achieve goals but the seed for my passion in accounting was planted. It was shortly after that I took my first accounting class and learned about the tremendous value accountant's provide to businesses and society as a whole. Consequently, I recently received my accounting degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and am currently working on acquiring a CPA license. In college I was offered an opportunity to serve as a "peer tutor" for a computers in business class and learned I had a passion for teaching. I am most interested in tutoring students in accounting because I believe the principles of accounting are fundamental to navigating various aspects of life, making it a subject with universal relevance. I understand the value of an informal and supportive learning environment and I strive to cultivate a collaborative relationship with my students, taking into account their various learning preferences. In my free time, I enjoy reading, video games, watching the NBA, and recently I've been playing pickle ball.
