I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri - St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Physics with Emphasis in Astrophysics. During my time as an undergraduate, I was a teaching assistant for Astronomy 1001 as well as a residential academic mentor for first-year engineering students. I also have a completed four years of graduate coursework from the University of Arkansas, where I taught a variety of Astronomy and Physics courses. My experience in teaching covers students from freshman engineering majors to senior biology/pre-med and art history majors to professional teachers returning for a continuing education certificate. I strongly believe that physics and astronomy should be taught in a way that is accessible to all learners, no matter their academic background.
