I have several years of teaching physics at the university level, and I want to continue sharing my love of physics and astronomy with the next generation. I earned my PhD in Physics with a dissertation in Astrophysics at New Mexcio Tech in 2023, and a BS in Physics with a Minor in Astronomy at Iowa State University. I primarily tutor physics and higher-level math courses because that is closest to my previous work as a teaching assistant at a university. I belive it is important to first meet students where they are at, and then with instruction bring that understanding to a deeper level.

Hobbies

In my own time, I am continuing my research into Asyptotic Giant Branch stars - I am looking to answer questions about how these stars turn into white dwarfs. Outside academia, I like acrylic painting if I can find a space that can safely geta bit messy, hiking with my dogs when the weather permits, and far more time playing videos games than I would like to admit!
