I am a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (JD) and the University of Washington Seattle (BS Civil Engineering, Minor in Spanish). During law school, I taught Spanish 101 to over a dozen undergraduate students as their sole instructor four days a week, both in-person and remotely. I loved my students, and I think my students loved me. For the three semesters I taught, I was consistently ranked in the top 90% of instructor evaluations. I bring energy, enthusiasm, and empathy as a non-native Spanish speaker.

I learned Spanish at five years old in a Spanish immersion program where I learned all of my subjects math, science, history, etc. in Spanish, six hours a day, with one hour of English. This program continued to a lesser extent through high school. (Fun fact: I learned U.S. history in Spanish and can say the pledge of allegiance in Spanish.) At17 years old, I earned my DELE-B-2, a diploma granted by the Spanish government demonstrating my advanced skills ins Spanish. After high school, I taught Spanish in Barcelona to students from all over the world. In college, I minored in Spanish and then leveraged my experience during law school to intern as a judicial intern for a federal judge in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I'm a practicing lawyer and clerked for two federal judges and have worked at four private law firms. Law school is tough, and my 1L year was the hardest academic year of my life. I bring this empathy to my tutoring.

I majored in civil engineering to challenge myself for law school. I always found math and science challenging, and this was a way to prepare myself for the rigors of law school.
