The student and I spent our session today working through the assigned problems in Section 8.1 and 8.2 in her text. In addition to the assigned homework problems we completed all of the additional problems in the sections assigned by her teacher. I hope this extra practice will improve the student's familiarity with the techniques covered. It is clear that the student understands the material. We really need to keep practicing to improve her speed and confidence.

The student and I met at from 4 to 5:30. We went over concepts that she had missed on her previous tests and our objective is to get her fully caught up in her class in time for her final exam. We reviewed mole ratios, isotopes, atomic number, atomic mass, and a few other basic concepts. We will be meeting again on Monday and possibly a few extra sessions during the Thanksgiving break.

The student and I had a great session even though we cannot play any games. We completed her homework which included a worksheet that contained multiplication with and without illustrations, addition, subtraction, and time. After her homework and her snack, I discovered a worksheet and a test that needed to be completed. The worksheet contained multiplication problems that needed illustration.

Today the student and I looked over the review material that his class was hitting before they get into the "meaty" part of calculus. We covered absolute value, graph transformations, and exponential graphs.

The student did two practice critical reading sections. She did the first on her own, and we talked through using the strategies for the second. On the second test she did extremely well! We will do the same next time with the sentence corrections.

We went over a few of the topics on the quiz. These topics included Lewis structures, Acids and Bases, and pH and pKa estimation. We then moved on to organic chemistry and went over naming of structures and drawing isomers.
